Costa Coffee aimed to enter the competitive Frappé market by launching a new range during the UK’s first restriction-free summer in two years. The goal was to capture Gen Z’s attention by positioning the Frappé as a symbol of summer adventure and freedom.

Solution

A three-month, social-first activation targeted at Gen Z featured videos across UK multimedia platforms. The FrappéLists campaign, in collaboration with emerging music artists and directed by Jake Jelicich (Niall Horan, Dua Lipa, James Bay), used scannable live collaterals directing audiences to exclusive playlists. In-store materials and social-first video edits shared on TikTok, Instagram, and Snapchat amplified the campaign, linking to Spotify playlists and supporting Costa’s live events. The campaign increased Costa’s cold drink menu share from 5% to 24%, highlighting the success of vibrant, multi-channel designs.
